BULLETIN INFORMATION - September 14, 2008
Let us come to worship with the right attitude: delighting to do what God commands us to do. What is His command? “That you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 15:6).
We extend a warm welcome to those who are visiting with us today. We are glad to have you join us in praise of our Lord and Savior.
You are welcome to join
any of our Bible studies. Coffee is available in the fellowship hall after our morning service.
WORSHIP NOTES
This morning, Rev. Aalsburg will be leading our worship service and this evening, Rev. Grossmann will be leading us in worshiping our God.
Next Sunday morning, the Lord willing, we will once again have the joy of witnessing the administration of the Sacrament of Baptism as it will be administered to Tayden Christopher, the son of Chris and Nikki Van Beek. Rev. Aalsburg will be leading our morning worship service.
PRAYER REQUEST
Continue to remember all of our members in prayer that are undergoing treatment, are sick or hospitalized and those with special needs. In I Thessalonians 5 we hear God say, “Pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Kevin Harthoorn has one treatment left on Wednesday of his sturdy drug. Pray for him as he finishes his treatments. Juleen Hofland is half way with her treatments. She does have some days she is tired but other wise is feeling fine. Audrey Elgersma had her treatment on Wednesday and we praise God that she is doing so well.
Elsie Elgersma suffered a stroke at her daughter’s home in Sioux Falls on Sunday, September 28. She is currently a patient at Avera McKennan in Sioux Falls. She seems to be showing some improvement. Please keep her and her family in our prayers.
We praise God that the hurricane that was headed for Prince Edward Island only brought heavy rain and wind. Nick, Allison and Levi thank the congregation for their prayers.
THANK YO U
We would like to thank everyone who remembered us during our recent illness and also for our 59th wedding anniversary. A special thanks to Rev. Williamson and Elder Zonnefeld for their visits. It was greatly appreciated. Bill and Elsie Elgersma!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Ecuador urgently needs an honest government that gives stability and peace, yet has the courage to tackle the serious economic and social problems. This political uncertainty, war, and a series of
natural and economic disasters have made Ecuadorians more receptive to the gospel. Pray that
this openness may lead to a great spiritual harvest in every part of the country and level of society.
We praise God for the healthy baby boy, Preston Peter, that was born to Phil and Amy Louters on
Thursday, September 25. May God bless you as you raise your son for His honor and glory.
The Young Couples Bible Study is still in need of nursery volunteers for this fall from 10:50 to 11:45
on Sunday mornings. We have a lot of openings in late October, most of November, and once in
December. Please contact Emily Mulder or Heather Aaron if you can help on any date or dates, or sign
your name on the date(s) you prefer on the sheet on the back table. Thank you for helping make Bible Study time possible!
This is the last day to order Little Caesars pizza products from the Young Peoples. Extra order
forms are on the back table if you have misplaced yours. Please place orders in the mailbox of Eric
Krikke or Brian Visser. Thank you for your support.
Service Night for the Young Peoples is October 15. Please let one of the counselors know if you
have need of their services.
Wondering what the Young People’s have been up to lately? Check out the pictures on the back
table of this summers RYS convention and also the Mall Walk.
The Open House for the new facilities of the Primghar Health Center is scheduled from 1 – 4 PM
